Returns

How do we return something that doesn't work, is damaged, or is not what we expected?  How do we return product?

All Standard Publishing products are guaranteed to meet your expectations.  To return damaged or defective product, or to inquire about a refund, please contact Customer Service at customerservice@standardpub.com or by calling 1-800-543-1353 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Eastern), Monday thru Friday.

We accept general merchandise returns provided the item is in sellable condition and is an active title. We also accept returns for VBS, commentaries and curriculum provided product is returned within established guidelines and timeline:
To ensure proper credit for the following products, please return by these dates:

  • All dated curriculum such as Heartshaper, Standard lesson Commentary Quarterly (SLCQ) and Encounter:
    • Winter Quarter Curriculum - January 15
    • Spring Quarter Curriculum - April 15
    • Summer Quarter Curriculum - July 15
    • Fall Quarter Curriculum - October 15
  • Vacation Bible School - September 1
  • Standard Lesson Commentary - October 15

  • Please send your return via a traceable method such as UPS as Standard Publishing is not responsible until the package is signed for at our distribution center.
  • Once the product is received, credit will be issued to your account.  If you prefer a refund, please contact customer service at customerservice@standardpub.com or via phone at 800-543-1353.  
  • Please be sure to return your packing slip or invoice along with your shipment.   If this information is not available, please include a note with your contact and billing information.
  • Please note that downloadable electronic products and special sale items are non-returnable; all sales for these items are final.
  • All multimedia resources must be returned in original shrink wrap. 
  • All products must be received by established dates to receive credit.  Product received after date will not receive credit.

What do I include with my returned package?

What is the deadline to return Sunday school curriculum each quarter?

Curriculum, as well as many other products, must be returned within 30 days of the invoice date.  For additional information or questions, please contact us at customerservice@standardpub.com.

Using the Web Site

I am looking for an item on your Web site.  Is everything you sell listed on your Web site?

Do I have to have an account with Standard Publishing to order from the Web site?

To place an order on the Web site you do not have to have an existing account with Standard Publishing.  By ordering online you will establish an account by providing the required information and using a credit card to place your order.

I already have an account with Standard Publishing.  Can I use it to order on the Web?

Yes.  Please note if you already have an existing account number with Standard Publishing you may use the Web to place your orders.  The first time using the Web, you are required to enter your Standard Publishing account number when registering.  If you do not provide your account number, an additional account will be created.  Also, please keep in mind the information you use to register on our Web site as you will need to log back in using this information when placing future Web orders.

How do I receive a catalog?

To request a catalog please contact your Church Account Manager for your state or by calling customer service at 1-800-543-1353 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Eastern), Monday through Friday.

Can we order from you or do we need to get product through a store?

Our products can be purchased online using this Web site. 

Our products are also available throughout the country at Christian bookstores and other retailers where books are sold.  Each page of our Web site maintains a Find a Christian Store link to help search for a store near you.

Do you offer discounts to churches or sell discontinued product (last year’s VBS) at discounted prices?

We do occasionally offer discontinued products on our Web site.  You will find these offers in the What's On Sale section of the site, accessible from the Home Page. Billing and Shipping

How fast can you ship my order?

Generally, all orders are processed and shipped within 48 hours, providing inventory is available and all order information is accurate and complete.  We ship via UPS ground so a complete shipping address is needed for delivery.

With what denomination are you affiliated?

Standard Publishing is a non-denominational publisher.  Standard Publishing is as committed today as ever to producing nondenominational, true-to-the-Bible resources. The doctrinal integrity of what we publish will continue to be sound, providing our customers with resources that will inspire, educate, and motivate.

What translation of the Bible do you use in your products?

Our editors select the appropriate Bible translation based on the target audience for the product.  We are careful to ensure that all of our products are educationally and developmentally age appropriate.  We do not endorse any particular translation.  Products that do use a particular translation are generally labeled with the name of the translation.  Many products are translation independent, providing a Scripture reference that may be used with the customer’s preferred translation.
